About Foundational Concepts
Founded in FargoFoundational Concepts Property Management is a locally owned and operated company led by Rial Stedman and Chase Neugebauer.
Why we started
Rial Stedman and Chase Neugebauer formally launched Foundational Concepts one year ago after seeing that associations and property owners needed management that was responsive, practical, and personally engaged.
They bring decades of combined experience working with commercial properties, maintenance needs, and vendors throughout Fargo–West Fargo. The work begins by understanding what a property actually needs, then communicating clearly and acting on sensible next steps.
Foundational Concepts is owned and operated by Rial and Chase, with decisions and day-to-day attention rooted in the Fargo community.
Rather than maintaining a traditional office, the team meets clients on-site when useful—keeping overhead low and the conversation close to the property.
Clear, timely communication and workable solutions guide the relationship from the first conversation onward.
What informs the work
Commercial properties, maintenance coordination, and reliable vendor relationships all require context. Foundational Concepts brings that local context to the table before recommending a path forward.
Every association and ownership group has a different history, set of priorities, and set of practical constraints. Understanding those details comes before a solution.
Questions and maintenance issues need straightforward communication. The goal is to make it easier to understand what is happening and what comes next.
Growth is measured, not rushed. New client relationships have come primarily through referrals, and attention to current properties comes before scaling further.
Current portfolio
Foundational Concepts’ current management work spans association and commercial-property settings in the Fargo–West Fargo area.
The current portfolio includes a 69-unit HOA and two separate 22-unit business park associations.
Three shop condo developments add a distinct commercial ownership context to the work.
Rial and Chase also manage multiple retail business properties they personally own. Those are owner-held properties, distinct from third-party client properties managed by Foundational Concepts.
A considered fit
For boards and owners, a useful management conversation is specific: it looks at the site, the people involved, the questions on the table, and the right level of support.
When helpful, Rial and Chase meet clients where the work happens instead of asking every conversation to fit an office visit.
Discuss the property’s operating context, recurring concerns, and the decisions that deserve immediate clarity.
Decide whether Foundational Concepts’ hands-on approach and current capacity are an appropriate fit.
